    Hey! I'm Julia Da Silva, a Third-Year Computer Science major at York University and a proud First-Generation student. Currently, I am on my first co-op work term for Summer 2024, working as a Junior Project Coordinator with the Ontario Public Service. I also hold the position of IT Director at ElleHacks, where I will be working with our amazing ElleHacks IT team to prepare the website and discord for our 2025 Hackathon event. When not at school, I work part-time with the City of Vaughan, teaching children various sports, STEM activities, and engaging with the community. With a strong foundation in programming and problem-solving, I am passionate about seizing opportunities that challenge me and allow me to contribute to innovative projects.

    Junior Project Coordinator

    May 2024 - Present

    Supporting the development of a major internal tool for OPS staff across ministries. Involved in project planning, coordination, and tracking, while gaining insights into project management techniques and shadowing senior team members in meetings.

    IT Director

    April 2024 - Present

    Responsible for managing the ElleHacks IT team, including organizing weekly meetings and assigning tasks. Leading the development of a website and dashboard for ElleHacks participants, and ensuring smooth technical operations and support for the event.

    Developed the ElleHacks Discord server and programmed a custom bot to enhance user engagement, and streamline event operations before and during the ElleHacks hackathon. The bot's features included automated team registration, participant verification, scheduled event announcements, a project submission countdown, and additional functionalities to enhance communication and streamline event operations.
